Students serve during Church Service Day

Church Service Day Coming Sept. 28

Church Service Day is an OCU tradition of giving back to area churches through hands-on work projects completed all on a single day!

This year OCU students will assemble early on September 28th for assignments at 40 Circleville area locations serving 31 churches and ministries.

Participating Service Day Christian denominations include Church of the Nazarene, Baptist, First Church, Churches of Christ in Christian Union, Vineyard, Church of Christ, and United Methodist.

Prior year participants were thrilled with the work students provided:

Not only were the students diligent and industrious; they also served cheerfully and courteously. From our point of view, the Church Service Day was an enormous success.

Pastor David Cavanaugh, Logan Elm Baptist Church

The amount of work that was accomplished at our food pantry exceeded my expectations. All of the students were hardworking. I could not have been more pleased.

Jim Daubenmire, Lancaster Vineyard Food Pantry

Students’ projects include stocking food pantries, performing yard work, sanitizing nurseries, and washing windows – getting a lot done for the churches and ministries in a short time.
