OCU Small Group Ministries Support Spiritual Growth

For the last seven years OCU Small Groups ministry has been a vital component in students’ spiritual development. With nearly 300 participants last semester, approximately 25 groups are planned for the Fall 2017 semester.

Small Groups minister on campus and in the local community by sponsoring events and initiatives such as Trunk or Treat, 30hr Famine, Operation Christmas Child, prayer walks, and soup kitchens.

“Small groups gave me the safe community where I could freely express my worries and praises. I was always encouraged spiritually which lifted me up weekly and allowed me to do that for others.”

Kiirsten Truex

Small Groups ministry strives to lead OCU students to God, in community with each other, and out to the world. In an annual survey, 99% of respondents said that small groups improved their student life experience at OCU, and 99% believe they have experienced spiritual growth because of their small group.
